Flexible Substitute Caregivers Needed

We are looking for confident, calm, and experienced substitute caregivers who can step in as needed to support a man with multiple sclerosis (MS). The position involves working as a substitute caregiver and being able to quickly fill in for regular staff during their absence — both for urgent vacancies on short notice and with longer lead times, such as summer and vacation solutions.

The client strongly values their privacy and independence; therefore, the role requires a gentle and attentive approach where you assist without taking over. You will function as a support to maintain functions and independence as much as possible while respecting the client's wishes and boundaries. The work consists of both practical support at home and personal care. Typical tasks include household chores, cooking, assistance with dressing and undressing, support during transfers, and help with other care tasks. The client enjoys outdoor activities and walks, which means you will often accompany them outside — for this, good stamina, stability, and the ability to read situations in varying environments are required. In some situations, you will need to handle assistive devices and medical equipment, including experience with CPAP machines and good knowledge of transfer aids. You are expected to work independently, make sound decisions in everyday situations, and take responsibility for performing tasks according to the client's individual needs and routines. The role requires good communication skills — the ability to listen actively, interpret non-verbal signals, and adapt your support accordingly. Since the position is as a substitute caregiver, you will need to be flexible in your availability and able to accept both day, evening, and sometimes weekend shifts depending on needs. Experience and Qualifications

• Experience as a personal assistant or equivalent in care, references will be requested
• Experience working with individuals with neurological diseases, preferably MS.
• Knowledge of and experience in handling CPAP machines and other aids (e.g., motorized wheelchairs) or a willingness to learn quickly.
• Good Swedish in speech and writing as it is a mandatory task to maintain social documentation
• A criminal record extract will be requested.
