Do you have space in your home to provide a child with a stable and supportive environment during a time of uncertainty? Then this might be for you.

We are currently seeking contracted emergency homes willing to take in children and young people aged 0-21 years. The children and young people placed in emergency homes may need urgent care and protection. Therefore, it is important that you have the ability to provide support during a transitional period and be a secure adult for the child.

What does the assignment entail?

As an emergency home, you will receive one or more children for a short period, usually while waiting for a long-term solution, such as placement in a foster home or other care. The assignment can be both challenging and rewarding, and you will make a difference in a child's life by providing them with a warm and secure home. The assignment includes close cooperation with social services, supporting a functioning daily life with school and activities, contact with the child's biological network, and other professional contacts such as healthcare.

As an emergency home, you will receive a fixed monthly compensation regardless of whether you have a child placed with you or not. However, you are expected to be prepared to take in a child on very short notice and at any hour of the day.

We are looking for those who want to make a difference for children and youth

We are looking for individuals who have:

• A secure and stable living situation
• The ability to be home full-time
• A strong commitment to children and youth
• The ability to create a safe and stable environment
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in meeting and supporting children and youth
• A home with 1-3 extra bedrooms so that the child/children can have their own room
• Residence in Olofström Municipality or within an hour's travel

We offer:

• Support and regular supervision
• Fixed compensation according to SKR's guidelines (the municipality's regular collective agreement does not apply)
• 25 days of vacation per year
