Who are we?

We are a workgroup consisting of six social workers (child social workers), one social worker (contact families/contact persons), and four family home social workers, as well as a home plan coordinator, under the leadership and method development of a senior social worker and a unit manager. We are located in new premises adapted to the social services' operations. The premises are in close proximity to the Travel Center in Falköping.

We offer you a good working environment, external supervision, method supervision from a senior social worker, flexible hours, and accrued time (half days off/compensatory days) as well as wellness benefits or wellness hours. There is some opportunity for remote work.

The role of child social worker involves qualified investigation and follow-up work for both family home placed and institution placed children and youth, aimed at ensuring that their needs and rights are met in their placement form. You will work based on the SOL and LVU legislation. We actively work to meet needs in our own municipality and allow children to grow up close to their origins.

What are we looking for in you?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and a genuine interest in working with children and families. You need to have previous experience working with children and youth as well as experience in authority work within social services.

The role includes some travel, so a driver's license is required.

In addition to formal competencies, we will place great importance on personal suitability. You should have a clear child perspective and care about good interactions. It is important for us that you strive for good relationships and can collaborate both internally and externally. You have a good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing. You have the ability to plan and structure your work well.
