About the Job

Do you want to make a difference for people with disabilities and provide them support in their daily lives? We are now looking for dedicated hourly and summer substitutes for Skärviken and Skäruddens BmSS, located on beautiful Styrsö in Gothenburg's southern archipelago!

To reach the facilities on Styrsö, you need to take a ferry from Saltholmen.

As an hourly and summer substitute with us, you will become an important part of the residents' daily lives. You will assist with both practical and pedagogical tasks, from personal care to leisure activities and social support. We work with individualized support for people with intellectual disabilities and autism.

Summer Substitute:

We prefer that you can work full-time according to a schedule from week 25 to 33. In your application, please specify which weeks you are available to work. You need to be able to work as an hourly substitute before your summer substitute position starts to get to know the residents and the facilities.

Hourly Substitute:

As an hourly substitute, you work as needed and set your own availability. Working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, and night depending on the facility.

About You

To apply for a position with us, you must be at least 18 years old, in accordance with regulations regarding the work environment for minors (AFS 2023:2).

To be able to document, you need to master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, which requires passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a second language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet the qualification requirements for Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the testing provider Educateit.

If you have training in healthcare or social care or other education that the employer deems equivalent, or experience working with disabilities and/or in healthcare and social care, it is an advantage.

Experience working with the autism target group and challenging behavior is also an advantage. If you have knowledge of LAB (Low Arousal Approach), AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), clear pedagogy, MI, and experience with social documentation, it is to your benefit.
