JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a foster care secretary in Bollebygd, you will be an important part of the unit for Children and Young People and work closely with the social workers in the team. The role includes recruiting, investigating, and guiding foster homes, contact families, contact persons, and, if necessary, specially appointed guardians. You provide support and guidance in ongoing interventions and placements and are responsible for contracts, compensation, and other administrative parts related to the assignments.

In recent years, Bollebygd has made investments to build a stable and qualitative foster care system. Our work is clearly focused on ensuring that placed children receive safe and good care while our foster homes receive the support they need to succeed in their assignments. Together with management, you are responsible for continued development, quality, and monitoring within foster care to meet upcoming needs and challenges.

You are also part of the foster care secretaries' network within Sjuhärad and participate regularly in network meetings for skills development and exchange of experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

• Degree from the social work program
• Driver's license (B)

Meritorious:

• Experience in foster care
• Experience in authority exercise

We are looking for someone with personal maturity, a good ability to build relationships, and the ability to meet individuals in vulnerable situations. You have a well-founded understanding of the importance of legal certainty and can adapt your working methods based on new conditions. You take responsibility for planning and prioritizing your tasks and value good collaboration. You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

The work is mainly performed during the day, but some flexibility is required as visits to foster homes may sometimes occur in the evening. The position also involves both shorter and longer trips.
