We are looking for a new employee for Investigation Unit 1, which consists of a child team and a youth team.

You will be part of the team that primarily handles child cases. Each team consists of six social workers and one senior social worker who leads the work and supports you in your official duties together with your colleagues.

Your tasks will involve investigating and assessing the needs of children and young people (0-18 years) for support, making decisions and following up on interventions based on risk and protective factors with the support of BBIC, as well as according to applicable legislation SoL, LVU, and LBSB. The work includes meetings, conversations with children, young people, and families, where documentation is an important part. One goal is to increase children's voices and participation - conversations with children are therefore a central task. You have an important role for the children and families we meet, and we work together to succeed. Collaboration with each other, cooperation with our execution units, other partners, and important people for the family is therefore important.

We see introduction, guidance, and professional development as a given. In addition to the introduction, you will be offered continuous professional development through the Career Journey and training in other methods available in the department. Your senior social worker, your mentor, and the department's introduction coordinator will be close support during your introduction.

You will have your workplace in pleasant premises at the social office on Borstbindaregatan 12 A, where all our investigation units and reception are located together in an open office landscape with fixed workplaces. The office is centrally located near Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen with good communication opportunities.

About You

You who are applying should have a degree in social work. In addition, you need to have knowledge of child development and relevant legislation in the area. Previous experience in official duties and/or other social work with children and young people is an advantage. You need to have a good ability to express yourself in the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Knowledge of Treserva and a B driver's license are advantageous.

The role of social worker requires you to take responsibility for both your and the group's tasks and to think about those we are here for and their best interests. It is important that you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.

The position requires you to be flexible and able to change how you work when things change. You can quickly adjust your perspective and approach and see opportunities in changes. It is important that you have a good attitude, are helpful, and show respect even in stressful situations.

The Social Administration Hisingen is part of the social services in Gothenburg City. We are one of four social administrations. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for the residents of Hisingen.
