As an activity coordinator, you will work in the public health and area work unit within the culture and leisure administration. You will be part of a team of three people who together drive and develop the wellness and activity group. The unit also includes coordinators in public health, integration, children's rights, and four area coordinators with whom you will collaborate. The entire unit's mission is to strengthen health, safety, and democracy in the entire population, and we do this in close contact and dialogue with the residents of Mölndal.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you passionate about helping young people in need of extra support? We are looking for someone who wants to work to promote physical and mental health, movement, and social contexts for children and young people with obesity and/or mental health issues in Mölndal.

The wellness and activity group is an operation aimed at preventing physical and mental ill health and contributing to increased well-being among children and young people aged 8-19 years, helping more young people to complete school with passing grades, and encouraging more young people to participate in meaningful leisure activities with lower barriers.

The role of the coordinator involves staffing, developing, and leading the weekly activities within the operation together with the rest of the team, as well as having individual contact with guardians and participants. In the individual meetings with the target group, you are curious and attentive. The position also includes collaborating with healthcare, the school's health team, social services, sports associations, and other organizations that meet children and young people.

You work proactively, flexibly, and based on needs, often coming up with creative and individualized solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have experience working with children and young people.

We prefer that you have an education or are studying in public health, health promotion, social pedagogy, or another education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

In your professional role as a coordinator, you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your work. You start from everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere in the meeting. You have an open and positive attitude, as you base your actions on the needs of the participants.

You are quick, productive, and motivated. You take initiative and responsibility for the work to progress, whether you work alone or together with others.

You build good relationships and networks with people who are important for your professional role (at various levels/internal/external).

You have the ability to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment.
