The Staffing and Recruitment Unit for Support for People with Disabilities in Centrum/Hisingen is now looking for temporary and summer substitutes for Kaggeledsbacken Housing with Special Services.
Here you will have a meaningful job with many important meetings. By working with us, you will learn a lot about others and about yourself. The first language at Kaggeledsbacken is Swedish sign language. Most of the staff here are deaf or have a hearing impairment. Therefore, it is important that you can communicate fluently in Swedish sign language.
The residents at the facility have various disabilities, including intellectual, mental, or physical. Sometimes there may be challenging behavior. Therefore, it is important that you are calm, secure, and stable, even in stressful situations.
The staff has a good understanding of the situation of sign language users and provides support to residents in contact with healthcare, authorities, and other parts of society. Before you start, you will receive an introduction. You will learn more about how we work and how to support the residents effectively.
As a substitute, you will assist residents in their daily lives. This may include personal care, household chores, or recreational activities. To thrive here, you need to enjoy working with people and respect different needs. It is also beneficial if you are curious and want to learn more.
As a temporary worker, you will work when the regular staff is absent. This can be during the day, evening, night, or weekend. You choose which days and times you can work. You inform us of your availability, and we will contact you when there are jobs that fit your schedule.
As a temporary worker with us, you will:
- Make a difference in people's lives
- Combine work with studies, another job, or retirement
- Choose which days and times you want to work
- Gain valuable experience and good references
- Have the opportunity for a longer collaboration with the City of Gothenburg
As a summer substitute, you will work according to a fixed schedule full-time during a specified period. Working hours may be day, evening, night, or weekend, often in a mix. You will receive your schedule in advance and thus know which days and times you will be working.
