Your Role

The Component Maintenance & Test Equipment department is our collective maintenance expertise - the unit enables a more efficient operation and increased competitiveness for Aviation Services business units.

The Engineering & Development section is responsible for providing technical services for maintenance in mechanics, hydraulics, electromechanics, and safety materials, for both military and civilian aircraft systems. The section includes the groups Systems Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and a Project Management Office. We are now looking for a systems engineer/maintenance engineer who wants to work with maintenance technical issues in the areas of mechanics, hydraulics, electromechanics, and safety materials related to airplanes, helicopters, and to some extent ground vehicles.

The work is carried out very independently and offers great opportunities for variation and development, both theoretically and practically, within a very broad operational area. You will also be able to conduct some training in the area for internal or external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

The tasks consist of technical consulting for internal and external customers and include, among other things:

• Technical analyses and investigations
• Establishment of new capabilities within maintenance
• Analysis of operations and maintenance
• Development and optimization of maintenance resources
• Preparation and change request management
• Certification of materials
• Preparation and updating of various documentation
• Development and production of testing and maintenance equipment

The tasks also include providing internal technical support to our maintenance operations as well as technical support to our marketing team, for example in connection with the preparation of quotes and calculations.

Travel in the service may occur, both within and outside Sweden. In the future, we see good opportunities for overseas assignments for those who want and can.

Your Profile

You may be a technician who wants to develop in your field. Perhaps you work in maintenance and want to take the next step, or you are an engineer who enjoys being close to a maintenance operation. We believe you have some form of technical education in one of the mentioned areas or several years of work experience in, for example, aircraft maintenance at the system/component level or similar maintenance operations. You should have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form as the work includes documentation in both languages.

Previous experience in a technical position where you have worked with documentation and/or maintenance work is meritorious.

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their task, structures their work, and drives the process forward. You enjoy solving technical problems and have a good ability to collaborate with humility and flexibility.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
