SeaPattern is revolutionizing hydropower with modular, floating hydrokinetic turbines that increase energy production – without new infrastructure and without environmental impact.

As the company takes the next step towards commercialization, they are looking for a Computational Engineer who wants to help develop groundbreaking technology and create sustainable energy solutions for the world.

Main Responsibilities As a Computational Engineer with system responsibility, you will be responsible for developing structural designs and selecting materials that ensure the turbine system can withstand environmental stresses such as waves, wind, and fatigue.

You will work closely with the entire engineering team, and cross-functional collaboration is crucial to ensure seamless integration of materials and structural components, while designing test protocols to evaluate durability and the long-term performance of materials.

Your work includes verifying the structural integrity of the system through both simulations and physical tests. Additionally, you will play a key role in selecting materials that offer high corrosion resistance and good fatigue performance, especially for use in demanding marine environments.

In your work, you will have continuous dialogue and close collaboration with both customers and suppliers.

Your Contribution to the Team at SeaPattern You thrive and work effectively in a cross-functional team, can clearly communicate your design ideas, and have excellent collaboration and communication skills. You also have a strong drive to learn and actively contribute to product development.

The right candidate has documented experience in selecting high-quality materials, preferably for marine applications, as well as analyzing performance under tough conditions.

You also bring the following competencies to the team:

· Master's degree or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction, or related fields.

· Approximately 5 years of work experience as a computational engineer or in materials science

· Experience with marine systems, offshore engineering, or renewable energy is a plus

· In-depth knowledge of structural analysis and finite element methods (ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.)

SeaPattern's office is located in Linköping where the position is also based.

What We Offer A key role in a growing team with significant ownership and an opportunity to help develop groundbreaking technology and create sustainable energy solutions for the world.

Your Application In this recruitment, we are collaborating with Skill. If you have any questions about the position, please feel free to contact Lena Johansson at 070-8523236 or [email protected]. We apply rolling selection.

We look forward to your application!
