Business Description
The municipality's overarching support and development function mainly includes the functions of personnel, finance, procurement, IT, information/communication, administrative services, and growth and attractiveness. The function shall ensure the municipality's ability to meet the future where digitalization, communication, and business development are three prioritized areas to strengthen. The administration is subordinate to the municipal executive board.
Job Responsibilities
Do you want to influence the work environment area of Gällivare municipality? As an HR consultant focusing on work environment, you will be part of our HR team consisting of 15 people, including HR consultants, payroll-pension, and HR system developers. The department works together to provide managers with the best possible conditions to carry out their work. You will have the opportunity to drive, lead, develop, and work proactively within the work environment area, where the focus is on operational support for both managers and employees. It is important that you can switch between strategic and operational focus and that you can easily move between both organizational and individual levels.
The work involves close collaboration with colleagues in the team and other operations, but you also need to be independent and able to drive your own projects and issues. Some examples of job responsibilities:
- Provide expert support in the area of work environment, health, and rehabilitation, including organizational and social work environment.
- Drive, develop, and support managers in their work with the work environment.
- Drive and develop preventive work and initiate and be responsible for the implementation and follow-up of various health-promoting initiatives and wellness activities.
- Lead, plan, and conduct training in work environment, health, and rehabilitation primarily for managers and safety representatives.
Work with contracts and procurement regarding systems and services related to occupational health services. Monitor laws and regulations and implement changes where applicable. Be the contact person for external parties such as occupational health services, the Social Insurance Agency, and the Work Environment Authority. The position is varied and offers many interesting opportunities in a culture that is open and inclusive and characterized by great commitment. Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an academic education in HR, work environment, or another direction that the employer deems equivalent. We prefer that you have several years of experience in preventive work environment efforts and providing support in complex matters. It is an advantage if you have experience of similar work in municipal operations.
As a person, you need to independently drive processes, be analytical, build trust, and have the ability to meet people in the situation they are in. You are good at building good relationships, initiating collaboration, and cooperating, but you are also a good communicator with a strong drive to develop the municipality's work environment efforts. As support for managers, you need to be pedagogical in your way of explaining/training with a good ability to listen, identify needs, highlight individuals' resources, and come up with proposals for solutions that make progress in the work environment efforts. We place great emphasis on collaboration skills and personal qualities. Under the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
