Business Description

Do you want to work closely with school leaders and make a real difference in the everyday lives of children and students?

We are now looking for an engaged recruiter who wants to help strengthen the competence supply within Gällivare's primary schools and preschools.

Gällivare Municipality has primary schools and preschools both centrally and in rural areas. Our 9 primary schools vary in size and are led by 6 principals and 5 assistant principals. The preschool operations consist of 13 preschools and pedagogical care. Recruitment is a strategic and crucial area for our principals. They now need your support in finding the right competence – for the school of the future.

Job Responsibilities

As a recruiter, your work is guided by the child and education administration's staff, and you work closely with the principals, driving the entire recruitment process from start to finish. You are their support, sounding board, and process leader. We offer an independent and meaningful assignment where you will have great trust in your role. You will work closely with engaged school leaders and have the opportunity to actively influence and further develop the recruitment work. Your role includes, among other things:

  • Mapping recruitment needs together with principals
  • Developing requirement profiles and writing accurate, attractive advertisements
  • Responsible for advertising in relevant channels
  • Managing applications and conducting selections
  • Conducting first interviews and reference checks
  • Ensuring administration and quality in the recruitment processes

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in human resources/behavioral science or other education that the employer deems equivalent
  • Documented experience in recruitment (requirement)
  • Experience in recruitment within schools/preschools is an advantage

  • Self-driven and used to managing recruitment processes
  • Structured, communicative, and solution-oriented
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating with different professions
  • You have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

  • Experience from Gällivare's recruitment process
  • Experience working in recruitment systems
  • Experience working with employer branding
  • Experience working in public administration
  • Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Working Hours/Duration

Fixed-term employment for 1 year from 2026-04-01 to 2027-04-01 with the possibility of extension. The position is 50-100%
