Court Administrator Wanted at Haparanda District Court

Every day, hundreds of cases and matters are decided in courts across Sweden. Our organization consists of employees with various competencies, each of whom is significant in maintaining legal security and high quality at all levels.

Responsibilities

As part of your work, you will, among other things:

• register new cases and documents,
• manage correspondence, monitor deadlines, plan trial days, summon for hearings, send out summons applications, prepare cases for hearings and decisions,
• issue judgments and decisions,
• prepare cases for archiving.

You will have daily contact with the public, parties, and representatives, both via phone and email. The work may also include taking minutes during hearings.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• a completed secondary education with a diploma/certificate,
• experience in case management or other administrative work that the employer deems relevant for the position,
• good computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new administrative systems and digital tools,
• good knowledge of Swedish and English.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• previous experience from working within the judiciary, preferably a court or another authority that the employer deems relevant for the position,
• knowledge of Finnish or other languages,
• post-secondary education, e.g., paralegal, legal assistant, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position.

The position requires high administrative ability and that you are proactive, meticulous, and ensure that tasks are completed.

About Haparanda District Court

Haparanda District Court is a general court, whose main tasks are to handle criminal and civil cases. The District Court is one of Sweden's smallest courts with 13 employees. The processing at the District Court is mainly digital, and we are constantly at the forefront of developing our operations.

Practical Information

We are looking for a court administrator, permanent full-time position, with a six-month probationary period.

Before employment, it may be relevant to conduct background checks.
