A Job That Counts!

With us, you contribute to a well-functioning society for the public and businesses.

About the Job

As a bailiff, you will work within one or more of the Swedish Enforcement Authority's operational areas: summary process, enforcement, debt restructuring, and supervision in bankruptcy/reconstruction. You are responsible for the legal quality of case handling. Your work spans several areas of law, primarily insolvency law, enforcement law, and property law. Initially, you will work within the enforcement area.

Within the summary process, you make qualified legal assessments in cases concerning payment orders, ordinary assistance, and special assistance. In enforcement, you are an integral part of the authority's actions during intervention enforcement measures and are responsible for executive property and condominium sales. In debt restructuring, you investigate the conditions for debt restructuring in reconsideration and objection cases and make decisions in complex matters. In bankruptcy supervision, you monitor that bankruptcy administration is conducted correctly and are available to the administrators when difficult questions arise. You also work with supervision over corporate reconstructors.

You also provide daily legal support to other employees, conduct training, perform legal investigations, make decisions, respond to consultations, and write opinions for courts. The role also includes representing the authority in various contexts and answering questions from the public and parties.

Everyone working at the Swedish Enforcement Authority contributes to the fight against crime. Your tasks include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes. As a bailiff/bailiff trainee, you can, for example, combat various types of crime by providing legal support to enforcement inspectors and case handlers. This can result in you contributing to preventing welfare crimes.

You will undergo internal training for about a year. In the training, you will alternate between theory and practice and apply the law within our various operations. There is both opportunity and expectation to work over time in the different operational departments.

Possible locations are Umeå, Sundsvall, Östersund, or Luleå.
