The Technical and Service Sector is now looking for an engaged employee with expertise in waste management, environment, and planning. We are looking for a team player who wants to develop the operations within waste and sanitation together with us.

We are seeking a Waste Management Responsible who wants to contribute to the development of the municipality's waste management operations. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for leading and supporting employees in the area and driving strategic issues related to waste management and refuse handling. You thrive in a role where you combine leadership with analysis, planning, and development work, and you want to contribute to sustainable and well-functioning waste management for the municipality's residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Waste Management Responsible, you will work both with the management and development of the municipality's waste management operations. You will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and developing the waste management assignment, conducting various types of investigations, and preparing decision-making materials for the operations. The role also includes acting as a purchaser for the municipality's waste-related services and ensuring that the work is carried out according to applicable guidelines and requirements. You will have personnel responsibility for employees within waste management and transport. Daily planning is handled by operational management. The work also involves processing matters related to waste management and collaborating closely with colleagues in other areas of expertise. Externally, you will act as a contact person for both authorities and the public, handling incoming inquiries regarding the municipality's waste management in a professional and service-oriented manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive and succeed in the role of Waste Management Responsible, we are looking for someone with a relevant academic education or equivalent competence acquired through work experience. You need to have experience in waste issues and/or work within the waste management field, preferably from municipal operations or another similar technical field.

You must have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as well as good knowledge of the Office suite. Experience working with EDP-future is an advantage. A B driver's license is a requirement. We place great importance on your personal qualities and see that you are socially competent, responsible, and engaged in your work. You find it easy to collaborate with others but can also work independently when required. The role requires flexibility, a structured approach, and the ability to meet both colleagues, authorities, and the public in a professional and service-oriented manner.
