Medical Secretary at the Dermatology and STD Clinic

The Dermatology and STD Clinic within Region Västerbotten is a small operation with significant responsibilities. The clinic is responsible for dermatological and venereological healthcare throughout the county and also has regional responsibility for several diagnostic groups. The clinic conducts general dermatology consultations as well as an STD clinic for sexually transmitted infections. Various specialized clinics such as occupational and environmental dermatology, vulvar clinic, genital dermatology, tumor clinic, and skin surgery plus laser treatment are also part of the operation. Telemedicine services towards Lycksele and Skellefteå are included in the operation as well as light treatments. Research and teaching are conducted in close collaboration with Umeå University.

We are now looking for a medical secretary. As a team member at the Dermatology and STD Clinic, you will work in a group consisting of various specialties, and together we create a pleasant and developing work environment. Approximately 40 people work at the clinic. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday. We apply flexible working hours.

The clinic is a certified health-promoting workplace and is HBTQ-certified.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of Medical Secretary includes, among other things, writing medical records, handling referrals and mail, registering test results, booking/calling patients, managing incoming documents and 1177. Register work and telephone service are also part of the tasks, as well as working to improve accessibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained medical secretary. If you are currently undergoing training and are expected to graduate soon, you are also welcome to apply.

As a person, you have a positive and service-oriented attitude and enjoy providing support and administrative assistance to others. Since you will have many points of contact and work closely with others, you need to be attentive and have good collaboration skills.

Since we focus heavily on quality and improvement work, it is important that you find changes to be developing and that you have an interest in everyday development work. You need to have a good ability to work independently while also being able to collaborate easily with others. You are used to organizing and structuring your time and tasks and are flexible and resilient to stress.
