THE COMPANY

Göta Lejon is one of Gothenburg City's internal companies. We create business-oriented social benefits by being responsible for Gothenburg City's insurance coverage regarding all insurance except pension and collective agreement-regulated insurances. The company is Gothenburg City's captive and is the city's expert body for insurance and risk management issues, developing these areas by being a driving support to the city's operations.

The company is responsible for ensuring that all of the city's administrations and companies are insured. Göta Lejon insures assets worth over 400 billion SEK, and our customers include about 50 administrations and municipal companies representing very diverse operations, from the primary school administration to technology-heavy operations such as Göteborg Energi and Renova.

There are four different reinsurance programs for property insurance. Göta Lejon's risks are reinsured on the national and international reinsurance market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the CEO of Försäkrings AB Göta Lejon, you will be responsible for the overall strategic and operational management of the company. You have a central role in managing and developing the company's operations. You report to the board in the form of follow-up on financial results and assist with other information and decision-making materials. The CEO is, in addition to being financially responsible, also ultimately responsible as an employer and is responsible for creating the right conditions for a well-functioning workplace. Together with the company, you will focus on collaboration to utilize the collective competence of employees in the best way. The company consists of fifteen employees working in two teams, customer team and support team. The two teams are led by their respective team leaders who report to the CEO. The customer team includes areas such as insurance, claims, risk management, and the support team consists of communication, business control, digitalization, and process support.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an academic degree and relevant experience from the insurance industry, along with experience in a managerial position with documented good results. You are used to leading and managing business-oriented in a complex structure and can analyze and summarize complex events as a basis for decision-making. You combine business benefit with social benefit and lead and steer through vision and strategy. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Furthermore, you have experience in corporate, industrial, and municipal insurance. Experience in reinsurance and knowledge of the insurance industry's regulations are advantageous.

As a leader, you are clear, inclusive, and results-oriented with strong social competence and high integrity. You have a communicative and pedagogical leadership style where you actively listen and communicate proactively.
