Operational HR Partner

Do you thrive in a job with a lot of drive, high engagement, and plenty of laughter? Do you want to make a difference in an important organization while also developing yourself? Then you should apply for the position of HR Partner at Uppsala Municipality (Shared Services)!

We are now looking for an engaged HR Partner to the HR department, with the primary responsibility of providing strategic and operational HR support for the Shared Services organization, together with the HR responsible for the operations. Shared Services is part of the Municipal Executive Office, where 850 employees work. The organization is responsible for leading and developing municipal shared services in the areas of meals, cleaning, logistics, vehicles, and customer service. The organization is characterized by innovation and new thinking, and through its nearly 50 managers, the goal is to create a health-promoting work environment where employees feel good and develop.

As an HR Partner, you will be part of a competent and friendly HR team where participation and collegial collaboration are high on the agenda. Through a curious and unpretentious approach, both the organizations and the team develop. The variation in assignments is great, and the opportunity for development is equally significant. Within the HR department, there are several specialist functions that collaborate and contribute to the deliveries to the organization.

Your Mission

Do you want to contribute to creating a sustainable workplace and strengthen our organization for the future?

In the role of HR Partner for Shared Services, you will work together with the HR responsible for the operations, providing both strategic and operational HR support. You will play an important role in strengthening the organization's attractiveness as an employer and creating a work environment where every employee can contribute to the organization's results.

In this role, you will work to:

  • Develop a sustainable workplace - by supporting managers in creating a safe and stimulating work environment that promotes well-being, engagement, and long-term development
  • Promote health factors and attendance - together with managers, identify and work with factors that contribute to increased attendance, well-being, and job satisfaction among employees
  • Strengthen our position as an attractive employer - contribute to initiatives that increase employee satisfaction and encourage employees to stay and develop with us

While we drive this long-term work, we maintain our focus on important operational efforts. You have a key role in the work to reduce absenteeism and strengthen managers' skills in rehabilitation and disciplinary matters. The initiative includes both preventive work and handling ongoing rehabilitation cases, as well as operational personnel issues, such as misconduct, at an early stage.

In your role as HR Partner, you will both drive various processes yourself and assist managers in their leadership responsibilities. Together with the HR responsible for Shared Services and the organization's managers, you will develop, anchor, and implement work processes and methods for activities that support the goal of developing a sustainable workplace. Your work will also include planning competence-enhancing initiatives for the organization's managers as needed.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with good experience in broad HR work in a role as HR Partner or HR Generalist, preferably from a larger organization. Experience in HR work in the public sector, especially municipal operations, is a merit.

You should also have good experience in supporting and driving more complex personnel issues related to rehabilitation and misconduct. To succeed in this role, you need to enjoy working closely with managers and be able to handle even more challenging cases with confidence and stability. You are comfortable speaking in front of groups, and it is advantageous if you have experience in conducting training in your areas of expertise. We expect you to have experience working with digital tools and systems.

You have a degree from a human resources program or equivalent higher education, or have equivalent education/experience in the HR field. A good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, is a requirement.

The variation in assignments is great, and you therefore need to be able to think and work flexibly to meet the different needs that arise quickly as a result of the nature of the operations. You have an approach that allows you to work both strategically and operationally, and can switch between different perspectives in various issues and contexts. You need to be good at seeing connections and solving both simpler and more complex questions and problems, as well as being able to structure, plan, and prioritize your work. You are a team player who thrives in collaboration with others.
