Job Responsibilities
Do you want to make a difference as a support assistant for people living in Housing with Special Services?
We are now looking for a support assistant for a temporary position until June 30 at Utjordsgatan.
Here, five individuals with varying disabilities and needs reside. Most of our clients live with multiple disabilities and additional challenges, including epilepsy. They have a total need for care, and the work is therefore very care-oriented. The job also involves heavy lifting.
We always focus on our residents and adapt our working methods based on the individual. We therefore offer a varied and stimulating job where our goal is to promote the individual's own opportunities to influence their life.
As a support assistant, you will work with pedagogical support in everyday life, personal care, medication management, and tube feeding. You provide support both at the client's home and outside the residence. The role also includes participating in the establishment and follow-up of implementation plans, which form the basis for ensuring the quality of each client's individual needs. Social documentation is done in Treserva.
We continuously work based on a sector-wide development program, where a strategic question for us is the systematic follow-up of the quality and benefits of our interventions from the clients' perspective, where we learn from those we are here for. By analyzing the results, we can increase our knowledge of which interventions appear effective, and thus focus on creating increased value and client benefit. At the Utjordsgatan group home, we also work with welfare technology and innovation in the field.
We use Time Care Planning for flexible schedules, with working hours allocated during the day, evening, and every other weekend.
Qualifications
We are looking for qualified personnel who have graduated as a support assistant, nursing assistant, studied the child and leisure program with a focus on social or educational work, or the health and care program with specialization in disabilities, which includes at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service for people with disabilities or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
To document, you need to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing, which means a requirement for passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a second language 1, or equivalent. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.
Good computer skills and experience of previous work in health and care are meritorious. Experience working with the target group of intellectual and physical disabilities is particularly meritorious. It is desirable if you have previous experience with tube feeding and PEG. We also appreciate knowledge of AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) and social documentation.
We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their own and the shared tasks with the best interests of the organization and clients in focus. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You start from everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere in meetings.
You listen to others to understand their needs and adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation. You balance different demands and remain calm in difficult situations.

Selection and interviews will begin during the application period.
