Do you want to work in a creative and meaningful environment? We are currently looking for a support assistant for Majornas Ateljé and shop, focusing on creativity and creation.

With us, you will meet participants with various disabilities and work in a supportive and developmental environment where the focus is on individual development, independence, and creativity. The operation is also characterized by active work with digital tools and welfare technology as a natural part of everyday life.

As a support assistant, you will support and guide participants in creative activities such as crafts and creation, both with and without digital aids. You contribute to creating a safe and stimulating environment where participants have the opportunity to express their abilities and develop based on their conditions. The role also includes independently driving creative projects and planning and implementing activities in collaboration with colleagues and participants.

You document and follow up on participants' development and collaborate with colleagues, relatives, guardians, and external partners to develop the operation. By using welfare technology and digital tools, such as apps for creation, music programs, and drawing tablets, you contribute to an inclusive operation where participation and learning are at the center.

Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday, with varying hours between 07:00 and 17:00.

Qualifications

We are looking for qualified personnel who have graduated as a support assistant, from the child and leisure program with a focus on social or educational work. The care and nursing program with specialization in disabilities, which includes at least 200 YH points, 120 university credits, or a combination thereof corresponding to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service for people with disabilities or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

Since communication is an important part of the job, it requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You also have the ability to share information and ideas, both verbally and in writing, and you listen to others in order to understand their needs while encouraging dialogue, participation, and engagement. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.

The work requires that you have experience with Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) and sign language support. You also need to be creative and have a strong interest in creation and creativity. It is highly meritorious if you can integrate digital tools and technology into the creative activities to facilitate and stimulate participants' learning and expression. This may include using apps for art creation, music programs, or other technology that supports creativity and learning - but also that you have the ability to independently drive digital projects. It is also meritorious if you have experience working with people with various disabilities.

As a person, you are responsible and take responsibility for both your own and shared tasks with the focus on the operation's and participants' best interests. You work in a structured manner, complete what you start, and ensure that tasks are performed correctly. In meetings with others, you are respectful and attentive, starting from everyone's equal value and contributing to a good reception and a positive atmosphere.

You are stable and secure in your working method, remain calm in pressured situations, and can balance different demands. At the same time, you are flexible and adapt to changing conditions and new information. With a creative and solution-focused approach, you contribute to the development of the operation and to a safe and meaningful everyday life for the participants.
