The Care and Welfare Administration, with its approximately 1500 employees, is one of the administrations in Mölndal and encompasses elderly care, support for people with disabilities, and health care.

At Måldomargatan, 12 tenants live in the middle of their lives. Together, we come up with activities both indoors and outdoors. We have a cozy outdoor area where joint activities are appreciated. We are now looking for an engaged support pedagogue to create meaningfulness for our users!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support pedagogue, you are responsible for the educational work and are a knowledge resource in the work team. You act as support and guide for the work group and also function as management support. You guide the work group based on the needs and methods of the operation. You ensure that social documentation and implementation plans according to IBIC are established, further developed, and followed according to laws and guidelines. The role of the support pedagogue also includes collaboration with other key persons from our operations, and you contribute to strengthening collaborative forms.

You are responsible for method meetings and other competence development and are comfortable leading groups. As support, you are offered guidance from method developers and you are part of a network with other support pedagogues in the area.

You also participate in direct work and support users with social and practical interventions both in and outside the home. You provide professional support by empowering the user in their daily life. All work is based on the user's individually established implementation plan.

We work with operationally adapted and adjustable schedules. The needs are continuously adapted based on the needs of the operation, which means that you need to be prepared to work during the day, evening, and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• relevant post-secondary education as a support pedagogue or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent
• experience working as a support pedagogue
• good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• experience working with people with disabilities
• experience with challenging behavior and outward-directed behavior
• good knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication, clear pedagogy, and low-arousal approach

It is meritorious if you have a B driver's license and experience working with Timecare and Treserva.
