IT Network Technician at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT Network Technology group is a team consisting of a stable core of IT technicians, technical architects, and coordinating IT technicians. We are responsible for the various IT networks of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. The group is a 3rd line grouping and handles what our 1st and 2nd line support cannot resolve. As part of this group, you will work with positive, engaged, and knowledgeable colleagues who have a strong drive to do a good job and make a difference for our operations.

The group works together to ensure that the authority has modern, user-friendly, and secure solutions that facilitate the everyday work of our operations.

We are looking for a person who can take on the role of Service Manager to manage and develop our IT networks. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and refinement of our IT networks, which carry the data traffic of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, to ensure that it operates smoothly and efficiently for our users. You will collaborate closely with other team members and external suppliers to ensure that the network's functionality meets our requirements and needs. The position also involves collaborating with a broad group of stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is self-driven and takes responsibility for their tasks, while also having good collaborative skills and contributing to positive teamwork. You are goal- and results-oriented, driven to achieve set goals, and have strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Stability and the ability to handle challenges calmly and with structure are also important qualities for the role.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Complete secondary school qualifications in the form of a final grade or secondary school diploma or experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Experience in IT infrastructure work with qualified security requirements
• Experience in project management/coordinating within IT infrastructure
• Experience in managing and leading assignments
• Experience in administrative work within an authority
• Experience working with and managing IT suppliers
• Good knowledge of IT network components
• Knowledge of IT security
• Good knowledge of IT networks and how they contribute/form a whole within infrastructure
• Ability to express oneself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English

It is meritorious if you have:

• Education in project management
• Experience working according to ITIL and PM3
• Experience in developing and following up budgets
• Experience in managing and leading others
• Basic knowledge of ITIL
