IT Technician at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an IT technician, you will develop, support, and maintain our central Rakel support systems. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring that the services provided function correctly and efficiently for our users, and participate in projects and assignments. An important part of the role is to stay updated through, among other things, environmental monitoring. The role involves contact with external suppliers/partners and handling support cases that our 1st and 2nd line support cannot resolve. This means close collaboration with other team members and external partners.

The Communication Technology group is a team consisting of IT technicians, service managers, and coordinating IT technicians. We are currently responsible for the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's telephony solutions and digital meeting services. Responsibility for Rakel is under development. The group is a 3rd line grouping that develops and manages service packages used by our operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Furthermore, you are calm, stable, and work well with others by being receptive and communicative. You continuously maintain your specialist knowledge.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of experience working with Rakel as an IT technician/technician
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written English

It is advantageous if you have:

• Technical education in the area of Rakel
• Experience working with special solutions within Rakel
• Experience working with management of Rakel
• Experience working with security technology issues
• Experience in service and support with a focus on Rakel
• Experience solving problems in complex IT environments
• Experience performing deeper troubleshooting on software and hardware
• Experience with ITIL
• Experience with technical documentation
• Experience working within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Knowledge of Rakel Generation 2 (SWEN)
• Knowledge of IT security
• Knowledge of networks and communication technology
