We are now seeking a personal assistant who wants to work every other weekend with a 4-year-old boy in Fisksätra. The boy has a significant brain injury with extensive care needs. He also has epilepsy and spasticity.
For the boy to feel comfortable with you, you need to be a positive, warm, and secure person with a lot of patience. Additionally, we hope you are a creative person who enjoys coming up with activities that benefit the boy's development.
You may have the opportunity to work more during vacancies and absences. The working hours vary between day, evening, and awake night shifts, both weekdays and weekends – perfect for you who want variety and extra shifts.
The tasks include:
Meeting at home after preschool on weekdays
Assisting with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and during meals
Activities
Handling aids such as tube feeding and wheelchair
The position involves working every other weekend
From 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM
About you
You are a person with a great sense of responsibility and sensitivity towards children with disabilities. As a person, you are calm, proactive, responsible, attentive, and reliable.
In this assignment, you need to understand that you will be working in a home with siblings and other family members to consider.
Requirements:
Not allergic to pets as there is a cat in the home
Physically strong as the boy wants to be close and you will carry him a lot
Experience working as a personal assistant or in care and support
It is an advantage if you have:
Education focused on children, or children with disabilities, or in care and support and pedagogy
Experience working with children with special needs
Scope: 1 position every other weekend.
Start date: Interviews are ongoing and can be filled before the application deadline.
Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.
