About Us
Trygga Barn is a foster home operation within the Vivant Omsorg organization. We started in November 2022 and are the first organization in the country to offer child representatives to all placed children. We focus on children and young people who need placement outside their own home. Our mindset is that children do not have direct behavioral problems; rather, the child's upbringing conditions have led to mental health issues, trauma, substance abuse, and criminality.
Job Responsibilities
Our organization is currently in an expansion phase, and we need another new colleague! We are now looking for a foster home supervisor. Your responsibilities include guiding and supporting foster homes, emergency homes, and treatment families. Depending on the assignments, supervision can take place weekly or monthly, both physically and digitally.
You should be familiar with record-keeping and have the ability to write weekly and monthly reports. You should have knowledge of social services' work with children and youth and be able to guide the foster homes in that. We consider it an advantage if you have completed training in supervision for foster homes and/or "A Home to Grow".
You should be open to flexibility and able to make day trips to various locations in the country when visiting your foster homes. If necessary, you may need to conduct foster home investigations.
Workplace and Working Hours
Our office is located in central Stockholm, a three-minute walk from the subway at Gullmarsplan. You have the opportunity to work from home 1-3 days a week. When visiting foster homes, the workplace is in another location. The position is full-time, and you are responsible for managing your working hours. We are also a dog-friendly workplace!
Employment
The employment is permanent with a six-month probationary period. We have a collective agreement, and you will receive occupational pension, wellness benefits, and fun and driven colleagues. You also need to understand that we are in an expansion phase and find organizational development enjoyable. You should be able to provide feedback and ideas so we can always improve. All our employees receive a secure introduction, and you have a supportive manager who will always assist you in your role.
Personal Qualifications
It is important to us that our employees belong to a close-knit and secure workgroup. We work based on our core values, and it is expected that you do the same. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is:
Unpretentious and open to adopting new evidence-based practices and has the ability to reflect on your own approaches.
Driven, takes initiative, and is engaged, able to perform at a high level, especially in stressful situations.
Solution-focused and understands that the municipality sometimes has limited resources - but has the ability to deliver the best possible care despite that.
Independent and structured, with the ability to plan your working hours and ensure that you perform the tasks expected of you.
Direct, clear, and honest with your colleagues and supervisors. Here, we never talk about each other but with each other.
Brave and constantly works in the best interest of the child. Here, the child comes first, and in cases of misconduct, you should dare to act together with your colleagues.
Capable of working in a team and seeing people's strengths, respecting that we are different and good at different things.
Meritorious
It is advantageous if you, as an applicant, have/are:
You can start your employment as soon as possible
Experience working with children and/or youth
You have knowledge of legislation such as SoL, LVU, LSS, OSL, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child
You have a supervisor training focused on foster homes
You are trained in trauma-informed care
You have completed the training "A Home to Grow In"
You have worked in social services as either a child secretary, foster home secretary, or family therapist
You have experience in therapeutic conversations
You are multilingual
About the Selection Process
Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. Employment may occur before the final application date. In your application, please email both your CV and cover letter!
