We are looking for someone who is stable and has a good ability to handle challenging situations, with a genuine desire to support those who need it the most. Working at Solsidevägens group home places high demands on your ability to manage unpredictable situations, maintain calm under pressure, and meet our customers in a professional and low-arousal manner.

Your assignment

Solsidevägens group home is a residence according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons) located in central Saltsjöbaden. Here, six customers with varying and extensive disabilities live, which means that the work can be demanding, both physically and mentally. There is parking available for those who have a driver's license and their own car.

You will provide support based on the customers' individual needs and work with personal care, medication management, social activities, digital documentation, and contact with relatives and authorities. Many of our customers have a great need for structure and predictability, and it is required that you have a pedagogical and consistent working style. You need to be able to meet challenging behaviors in a safe and professional manner and be prepared to handle complex and intense situations as part of everyday life.

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable and who can quickly recover after setbacks while maintaining focus and energy even in difficult situations. You have the ability to handle pressure and stress without losing focus, with a genuine commitment to creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our customers. You are low-arousal, responsive, and pedagogical in your approach while being able to set clear boundaries.

Your experience

To be considered for the position, you must have:

  • Completed education as a nursing assistant or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and cognitive disabilities
  • Documented experience in managing challenging and outwardly aggressive behaviors
  • Experience in personal care and medication management
  • Computer and documentation skills, including implementation plans
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious is education and/or experience in IBIC, AAC, and clarifying pedagogy.

About the employment

  • Permanent employment (6 months probationary period)
  • Working hours vary between day, evening, and weekend
