Wellness Leader at Skärholmen's Swimming and Sports Hall
Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for someone who wants to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Through us at the Sports Administration, we create conditions for all Stockholmers to be physically active. We open the city as an arena and offer Stockholmers a wide variety of sports and exercise opportunities for a more active lifestyle. All work at the Sports Administration is based on our three core values: welcoming – trustworthy – forward-thinking. Please read more about the Sports Administration's mission and activities at motionera.stockholm (https://motionera.stockholm).
Welcome to an active and diverse workplace!
Working with us
At Skärholmen's Swimming and Sports Hall, you will be part of an engaged team of around 12 people who make a difference every day.
We have a strong team spirit and close cohesion, something that both we and our guests appreciate. The facility is more than just a swimming pool; it is a vibrant meeting place characterized by diversity, community, and pride. Here, children, youth, adults, and seniors train side by side, and we meet people from all over the world under one roof.
To provide good accessibility for Stockholmers, we staff the facility between 06:00 and 23:00, 7 days a week, which means we work shifts, evenings, and weekends.
The Sports Administration has achieved the Great Place to Work certification (November 2025).
We offer
Our workplace focuses on creating a Stockholm where everyone wants and can move. We offer a warm and supportive work environment where you become part of a close-knit team. With us, you have the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally. We value your willingness to learn and grow, and offer good opportunities for professional development in your field.
Here you can combine your interest in sports with meaningful work. We offer generous wellness benefits such as a wellness allowance of 2500 SEK/year plus a wellness hour (during working hours). Your role
As a wellness leader at Skärholmen's Swimming and Sports Hall, you will be an important part of both our operations and our community. You will meet our visitors with warmth, service, and engagement, contributing to more people experiencing the joy of movement.
In this role, you will lead inspiring group training sessions and tailor training to different target groups. Particularly important is the work with youth in the local area, as well as with people with disabilities and seniors. You will also help plan and implement activities that strengthen public health in Skärholmen, where your enthusiasm and knowledge will help attract more people to an active life.
We help each other maintain a high standard at the facility. This means that you, just like your colleagues, will also contribute to reception and cleaning so that all our visitors feel safe and welcome. Some swimming instruction may also be included in the position.
Your skills and experience
You have:
- A high school diploma and at least a one-year post-secondary wellness education or equivalent
- A burning interest in working with youth
- Education and experience in leading group training sessions, preferably in various forms such as aqua aerobics, core, strength, and cycling
- Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, and the ability to adapt your communication to the person and situation
- Basic computer skills
- Good swimming skills and the ability to dive to a depth of 2 meters.
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Experience in service and customer relations
- Experience working with people with disabilities and/or seniors
- Education as a FaR leader
- Education as a gym instructor
- Swimming instructor training
- Leadership experience from associations or other youth activities.
To succeed in this role, we believe you are proactive, inspiring, and have a contact-building working style. You are driven to find solutions to motivate those who do not exercise to engage in physical activity.
To fit in with us, it is important that you take responsibility for the overall operation of the facility, can easily adapt to changing circumstances, are pedagogical, and work well with others. Of course, you are accommodating and have a good approach towards both visitors and colleagues.
We place great importance on your personal qualities.
Welcome with your application!
