What We Do and Want

At the Family Care Unit, family home secretaries, child secretaries, emergency home secretaries, and contact secretaries work together.

We are responsible for recruiting, investigating, and providing support to family homes, emergency homes, contact persons, and contact families for children and young people aged 0–20 years.

Our work is always based on the best interests of the child. We place great importance on finding the right match for each child and actively work to recruit, support, and retain our contractors. The unit also includes family law, and together we are about twenty engaged employees with different experiences and backgrounds.

The unit is led by a unit manager and two group leaders focusing on close and accessible leadership, where you as an employee should feel secure, motivated, and have the right conditions to succeed in your assignment.

About the Position

We are now looking for a child secretary who wants to be part of our team.

As a child secretary, you are responsible for following up on how children and young people are doing in their family home placements. You have regular contact with the child and ensure that the placement works according to the child's needs and the existing goals.

You work closely with family home secretaries and have the support of your group leader in your daily work.

Your responsibilities include:

• following up on placements and having individual conversations with children and young people.
• ensuring that the child has a functioning school life.
• noticing needs for support and initiating interventions.
• collaborating with guardians, family homes, schools, health care, and other important actors.
• documenting and processing according to applicable legislation.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who:

• is a qualified social worker.
• has experience of authority exercise within social services, preferably in family home care.

We place great importance on your personal qualities.

You have a good ability to create trusting relationships with children, young people, and adults. You communicate clearly and respectfully and have a professional and warm approach.

You enjoy collaborating, willingly share your experiences, and contribute to a positive work climate. At the same time, you are confident in working independently and taking responsibility for your cases.

You are structured and see documentation as a natural part of the work. You are flexible and help where needed, with the child's best interests in focus.

Experience in family home care is an advantage.

A driver's license is required as the position involves travel.
