Höglandsskolan is a K–9 school in the scenic Bromma with about 460 students and 60 staff members. Here we combine tradition and quality with creativity and safety. Job Description
As a childcare worker, you will work in grade 1 during school hours together with the class teacher and other staff in a team of about 30 students. You support the students in their learning, social development, and security during the school day.
You will also work in the after-school program where you engage with students in preschool and grade 1. There, you contribute to a meaningful and safe after-school program with play, creative activities, movement, and social training.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting students in their education based on the teacher's planning
- Contributing to structure, study peace, and security in the classroom
- Supporting students in social interaction and conflict resolution
- Participating in the planning and implementation of after-school activities
- Collaborating with teachers, after-school staff, and guardians
- Being a secure adult role model who contributes to an inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a similar role
- Has experience working with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities
- Has experience supporting students with diabetes and following necessary routines
- Has experience working with children in school or after-school programs
- Has a good ability to build relationships with students and collaborate with colleagues
- Is secure, clear, and structured in their work approach
- Has a positive and solution-focused attitude
