What we do and want

The outpatient care for children and youth provides preventive and treatment interventions for children, adolescents, and their families.

Within the unit, we offer family treatment, intermediate care-like interventions, school social interventions, advice and support conversations, crisis support, and parent education.

About the position

As a family therapist, you will work with change and treatment interventions for children, adolescents, their families, and networks. Our assignments primarily come from the social services' child and youth unit. To some extent, it also includes providing parental support without prior investigation. The work is conducted both in our own facilities and in the families' home environments. We are in an exciting development phase due to the transition to the new social services act and the change journey it entails.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date by agreement. We have annual working hours and subsidized wellness benefits.

Who are you?

You are a trained social worker or have another behavioral science academic degree that is deemed relevant for the position. You also have a therapeutic further education corresponding to level 1. You have experience working therapeutically with children, adolescents, and their families and see the value in strengthening the family's own resources and engaging their networks.

You have a good understanding of the systemic theoretical approach and recognize the importance of working with evidence-based methods. You have a respectful attitude, good collaboration skills, and an open and exploratory approach. You are used to working both independently and together with colleagues. It is an advantage if you are trained in functional family therapy (FFT) or KOMET.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

For the position, a background check from the police's suspicion and criminal record is required before employment, as well as a valid driver's license.
