Social Worker with Internal Mobile Assignment
Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Hägersten-Älvsjö is one of 11 district administrations in the city of Stockholm with approximately 3000 employees. Today, we are one of the city's largest districts with about 130,000 residents. In Hägersten-Älvsjö, you are close to the city, transportation, and nature. We offer a dynamic workplace with opportunities for you to develop in your role.
Welcome to us!
Are you an experienced social worker who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys variety, and sees opportunities where others see challenges? Do you want to contribute to the development of social services in Hägersten-Älvsjö through a new type of position? Then you are the one we are looking for!
The new social services act gives us a clearer and more powerful mission: to be closer, more accessible, and more precise in our support to our residents.
In Hägersten-Älvsjö, we take this seriously and are building a social service that meets young people and families early, with a holistic view and with interventions based on their real needs. Therefore, we are expanding the area of Children and Youth with two social workers whose mission is to strengthen the area's units.
We are looking for you who, together with us, want to be challenged and be part of our exciting development journey. With us, a varied and educational workday awaits.
We offer
The operations are continuously developing, and you will be an important part of that work. You will help shape the new role and contribute to how the mission should be designed going forward.
For us, it is important to be a secure employer with a good work environment that promotes health and safety. Therefore, we offer a permanent position from day one and apply winter and summer working hours as well as flexible hours. You will also receive wellness benefits of 3000 SEK per year and the opportunity to apply for vacation exchange. Read more about benefits in the City of Stockholm here.
Your role
As a social worker with an internal mobile assignment, you will support and relieve the area's various units based on needs. The assignments will be time-limited, where you will work with all parts of the authority's operations with a clear focus on relieving, strengthening, and creating quality. At one moment, you may support a unit with a high workload, and in the next, contribute your expertise to development work or step into a specific assignment. You work on behalf of the area manager and are supervised by the group leader at the unit you are assigned to. To focus on your cases and your handling, you are generally not involved in overarching organizational and operational meetings, such as group meetings.
You will have the opportunity to work in a changing environment where you continuously meet new working methods, target groups, and professions. The assignment means that you quickly familiarize yourself with new contexts, adapt your support according to the unit's conditions, and function as a generalist who can hold the whole together. Both internal and external collaboration is of great importance, and you are expected to contribute to creating sustainable structures to ensure early and coordinated efforts for those we are here for.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- a degree in social work
- several years of current experience in authority operations within children and youth (the social services act and the care of young people act)
- very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
- good IT skills
- good knowledge and experience in BBIC
It is meritorious if you have:
- good knowledge and experience of the assessment instruments SAVRY and EARL
- knowledge and experience in investigating foster homes
- good knowledge and experience in Signs of Safety
The role is broad, changing, and developing and suits you who are flexible and want to work closely with the operations and make a difference where the need is greatest. You have a very good ability to work independently while having a good understanding of decision-making paths and when your work requires collaboration and cooperation. You find it easy to structure and plan your work. You are secure and stable and can handle complex and difficult cases.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal willingness, ability, and skill for the position.
Other
We recruit without a personal letter in this recruitment. In assessing your application, we will only base it on your CV and a number of questions you will answer when applying for the position. We ask that you respond concretely and briefly to the questions, and that there is a clear connection between your answers and your CV.
Selection and interviews will take place continuously.
For this position, you need to show a valid extract from the Police's criminal record.
The appointment is subject to the necessary decisions being made. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at ensuring each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
