Klingsta is a dementia care facility with 39 apartments, beautifully located in a natural area near Edsviken and within walking distance from Mörby Centrum. The apartments are distributed across 4 departments. Klingsta care and nursing home is surrounded by a beautiful enclosed green garden with apple trees and quiet spots. We have walking distance to the waters of Edsviken and nice walking paths.

The operation is characterized by high competence within the various professional categories. All staff work from a rehabilitative approach where the goal is to see each resident as an individual and take into account their physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs. Our goal is to provide good individualized care and stimulation with competent staff who cater to interests and needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of activity coordinator, you will work to create an active and meaningful everyday life in community with others for each individual resident, based on their individual needs and wishes. You are responsible for planning, creating, and executing the activities that are requested. From a salutogenic perspective, you will work preventively and rehabilitatively with activities from an individual, group, organizational, and community perspective. In addition, you will be involved in inspiring and motivating other staff to incorporate activities into the daily lives of our clients, and you will participate in family and resident councils.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Education as a health educator, coordinator, nursing assistant, or other equivalent education, or at least two years of work experience with similar tasks.
• Experience working in a care and nursing home with a focus on dementia.
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
• Good digital competence and previous experience working with a computer/iPad as a tool.
• Interest in culture, music, movement, creativity, literature, and light gardening work.

As a person, you need to be positive and outgoing, with the ability to work pedagogically and with creative solutions. You have good social skills, the ability to listen and encourage, and see development work as something exciting. In addition, you have a genuine interest in working with people where success in the job is based on your ability to create and maintain good relationships. In your work, you are self-driven, responsible, and take your own initiatives. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
