At the emergency clinic, which consists of the emergency departments in Växjö, Ljungby, and the acute care unit, acutely ill patients are treated and cared for within the specialties of surgery, orthopedics, and medicine/infection. The majority of our patient clientele are adults, but orthopedic and surgical children are also cared for in the emergency departments. During on-call hours, eye/ear-nose-throat patients are also handled in the emergency department. This leads to a great variety of what you encounter as a medical secretary at the emergency clinic. The departments are staffed by nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, service hosts, and doctors from the emergency, medicine, orthopedics, infection, and surgery clinics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The medical secretaries at the emergency clinic play an important role as the administrative support of the operation to help keep the business running. The wide variety of writing provides broad knowledge and opportunities for development. Dictation writing is an important task, but the work also involves other tasks such as phone coordination, quality assurance, and administrative advice/support.

We write dictations for the emergency departments in Växjö and Ljungby as well as for the acute care unit. During evenings and weekends, we also write admissions and urgent surgical reports for the orthopedic, surgical, women's, children's, and youth clinics.

Our employees are important in the development work of the operation, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to our ongoing efforts. Together, we actively work on the development of both new and existing working methods and tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained medical secretary and can easily adapt to changing circumstances - for you, change is an opportunity. Furthermore, you should be good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work effectively and be confident in working independently. We prefer that you have knowledge of IT and Cambio Cosmic. Education in DRG is considered an advantage.

Your ability to collaborate is central as we work with all professional categories in healthcare. A positive attitude towards change work and the willingness to contribute is essential. It is advantageous if you have experience working in an emergency department or if you have previously worked as a medical secretary.
