At God Assistans, we are looking for a dedicated and responsible personal assistant to support and facilitate daily life for Axel. Caring is the foundation of everything we do and something that is essential to provide the best possible personal assistance. Right now, we are seeking a passionate individual who wants to become a valuable part of our team.

As a personal assistant, you will work with Axel, a lively 14-year-old boy. He was born with a brain injury, which means he needs help with most things in life. He uses a wheelchair and communicates using picture and writing programs on his iPad. He is an active boy, and if you have experience with training, that's a plus since exercise is a necessity for Axel in his daily life.

The position is a longer summer substitute at 80% from June to September 1st. There is a possibility of a permanent position if you and Axel get along well. You can start immediately as a substitute.

A work shift includes, among other things:

• Assisting with most daily activities, including personal hygiene, interacting and communicating with his surroundings, and playing.
• It is important to be active; we have many active leisure activities, and Axel has a lot of movement training in his daily life that needs to be performed.
• Helping him with everyday tasks such as getting dressed/undressed.
• Swimming ability is a must (comfortable enough to swim with Axel, even in deep water); being able to skate is a plus.
• Ensuring he has dinner by heating food and assisting him at the dinner table.
• Accompanying Axel to his activities such as horseback riding, swimming, and running, or just playing games. He loves to play music (instruments).

As you can see, he is a very active boy, so it is important that you, who are applying for this position, enjoy coming up with activities and can encourage participation.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is over 18 years old
• Speaks fluent Swedish and has good communication skills
• Is flexible
• Is smoke-free
• Is attentive to needs and feelings
• Experience with intellectual disabilities is a significant advantage but not a requirement.
• Can swim.
• Is a secure person with good self-esteem.
• Has a playful spirit and wants to fill his time with both security and laughter.

Working hours

Weekdays (in school with Axel) 07-16, evenings 16-21
Weekends 09-21, every other weekend.
