Psychiatry Northwest is looking for a medical secretary
Psychiatry Northwest is a university clinic in the northwestern part of Stockholm County's healthcare area (SLSO).
The clinic provides psychiatric care at a specialist level in outpatient and inpatient care and has approximately 450 employees. The inpatient care section of Psychiatry Northwest consists of five wards, three of which are located at Danderyd Hospital and two at S:t Göran's Hospital, as well as the Brain Stimulation Unit. We also currently assist two psychosis wards at Danderyd Hospital. We are looking for someone who wants to work as a medical secretary in inpatient care based at Danderyd Hospital.
At Danderyd Hospital, our psychiatric wards care for patients with depression, severe anxiety disorders, and patients with suicidal issues. The wards have doctors, nursing staff, paramedical staff, and as a medical secretary, you will collaborate with all of them. You will also collaborate with counterparts at our two wards located at S:t Göran's Hospital to ensure that the important administrative work functions well within inpatient care as a whole.
You will have varied tasks, but a significant and important part of the job involves handling LPT and ÖPT, which consists of monitoring deadlines that apply to patients being cared for under the Psychiatric Compulsory Care Act (LPT) and, in connection with this, having close cooperation with the responsible chief physicians and the Administrative Court, which is the decision-making body. Other tasks may include writing dictations, diagnosis and KVÅ registrations, invoicing, and mail handling. An interest in archiving is desired.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained medical secretary with good knowledge of the Swedish language and good knowledge of TakeCare, as well as administrative experience. Additionally, previous experience regarding the Compulsory Care Act (LPT) is an advantage.

Employment form
Temporary position, 12 months. Scope: 100% Working hours: Monday-Friday, 07:30-16:00 (39.5 hours/week).

- background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during hiring.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
