The Department of Sociology at Stockholm University is one of the largest departments at the Faculty of Social Sciences, with approximately 85 employees, 600 students per year, and includes the Stockholm University Demography Unit (SUDA).

Project Description

The position will be linked to SUDA's research on family policies and migrant integration: understanding parental leave and childhood education and care usage and their consequences among migrants in Sweden.

Job Responsibilities

The position involves data analysis and writing a scientific article on how reforms in parental leave policy affect migrants' usage.

Eligibility Requirements

A researcher is primarily employed for research and must have a PhD or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a PhD.

Assessment Criteria

In the appointment process, special attention will be given to research competence and the applicant's previous publications in relation to this project. The applicant must demonstrate solid experience in quantitative research and specific experience with longitudinal data (preferably with registry data experience). Applicants should have demographic research experience.

About the Position

The position is full-time for 3 months, with the possibility of extension under special circumstances. Start date is 2026-03-01, or by agreement.
