About the Department

Area 4 has approximately 2700 employees within the fields of Clinical Chemistry, Radiology, Clinical Physiology, Clinical Pathology, Clinical Genetics and Genomics, Clinical Microbiology, Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine, Pharmaceuticals, and Medical Technology and Physics.

Several of the area's operations are accredited or ISO-certified.

Within the department, extensive method development, research, and teaching are conducted in close collaboration with the University of Gothenburg. Collaboration also exists with Chalmers University of Technology.

Job Responsibilities

As a project manager with us, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing projects within the department. The role involves driving initiatives that impact large parts of the organization – both strategically and operationally.

Your responsibilities include: Leading and driving projects with responsibility for planning, coordination, follow-up, quality, time, and budget. Ensuring compliance with laws, guidelines, and internal processes, as well as preparing decision-making materials. Coordinating work with other projects and departments, both internally and externally. Conducting project administration and documentation, including reports, analyses, and materials for follow-up. Leading and facilitating meetings, workshops, and development forums. Working with analysis, follow-up, and benefit realization of completed projects. Being a support to the area and contributing to the development of working methods within project management and organizational development.

You will work closely with department heads, business developers, and other key personnel and be an important link in translating needs into concrete projects and development efforts. The work involves many points of contact and requires the ability to create structure, clarity, and engagement.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree of at least 180 credits (Bachelor's degree) in fields such as engineering, production development/logistics, healthcare, or equivalent. You have training in project management and experience working as a project manager, with knowledge of the structures, roles, and responsibilities of project organizations. You have worked with tools to initiate, plan, execute, and close projects with high goal fulfillment. You have practical experience with methods for conducting risk analysis, requirements management, stakeholder mapping, and project planning.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of VGR's project management model, Projektilen, and its tools.

As a person, you are:

  • confident, structured, and clear in your communication
  • attentive and good at building relationships
  • used to working independently with planning and prioritization
  • solution-oriented and creative in complex situations
  • a team player who values collaboration and quality

You are proficient in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Interviews are planned to take place on March 3rd and 4th.
