We are now looking for a new Team Leader for our investigation unit!
Here, we actively work on how you as an employee experience your work environment while keeping development in focus.
Children's participation is a central part of our work, and we have several child rights representatives responsible for monitoring children's rights. We also have established interest groups where our employees can deepen their knowledge in their chosen area of interest. The area of children and youth consists of employees who have a positive attitude towards work, support each other, and create joy at work even in tough situations. The area is part of the Department of Social Services and Leisure within Bromma City District Administration, which is responsible for the district's individual and family care, disability services, financial assistance, fieldwork, school social workers, prevention, and safety work, etc.
The unit for child and youth investigations consists of two teams with 8 social workers in each team, two team leaders, a unit manager, and an administrative assistant. We also have a social worker with the police/SSPF coordinator in the unit. The unit belongs to the area of children and youth and is led by an area manager. The area is divided into four units, which also include two method developers and a mentor.

We at the Unit for Child and Youth Investigations in Bromma:
- Offer you as an employee accessible, close, and structured leadership.
- Participate in the pilot project FACT young together with the Region for youth with complex social and psychiatric issues.
- Actively participate in the transition to the new social services law through involvement in NUSO (national follow-up of the transition of social services).
- Participate in several collaborative forms with internal and external actors such as other units, police, and schools/preschools.
- Regularly follow up on your psychosocial work environment through "Bromma Conversations".
- Have regular external supervision with other team leaders within the area of Children and Youth.
- Opportunities for further education.
Your role
As a team leader, you work on behalf of the unit manager. You are the immediate supervisor for your group, and you lead and distribute the work within the group while ensuring that the daily work functions. You will support the employees through prioritization, support, and coaching in everyday life. Through operational and close leadership and clear expectations, you create good conditions for development, learning, and joy at work.
As a team leader, you are an available, responsible, structured, and present leader who, in close collaboration with your employees, develops the work and drives the case process forward. You are responsible for ensuring that the work within the group maintains good quality with legally secure processing. Our approach places great importance on ensuring that children and their families are involved in the work and receive a responsive and professional response as well as well-founded assessments and decisions.
Together with the unit manager and the area's mentor, you are responsible for the introduction of new employees and participate in the development of the unit's routines and working methods. In the role of team leader, you will assist the unit manager in systematically and continuously planning, following up, and evaluating the unit's activities.
Your competence and experience
You have a degree in social work with several years of experience in investigative work with children and youth and authority exercise within social child and youth care. You should have worked for at least five years with authority exercise concerning children and youth. We prefer that you have leadership experience within authority exercise for children and youth within the City of Stockholm.
You have very good knowledge of current legislation, regulations, and guidelines that govern work with children and youth. Your ability to express yourself in speech and writing is very good. You have training in and experience of working with BBIC. You are structured, clear, and have an analytical ability where you see opportunities and solutions.
You find it easy to build relationships and create a good atmosphere in the workgroup. You are secure and stable in your role as well as a responsible and present leader with a good ability to adapt your leadership. You find it easy to collaborate with others and see the importance of internal and external cooperation, contributing to the work with a cohesive social service for the children and families we meet.
It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience of:
- Working as a team leader or equivalent within social services for children and youth.
- Signs of safety.
- Work in the City of Stockholm's social system Paraplyet.
