We are now looking for someone who wants to work in an LSS group home, where you will develop the residents and work closely and safely with your colleagues.

We will expand our staff group with an additional support assistant and are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting and providing service to people with different needs in their daily lives, where a meaningful and safe environment is crucial, and where we create quality of life for those who live here.

With us, the individual conditions and wishes of the residents are at the center. We work closely with each person to provide support in daily life – always with respect, care, and commitment. You will work in a newly built and pleasant group home with six apartments, common areas, and staff rooms. The home is located in a scenic environment near Bansjön, where the tranquility outside the door contributes to a good working environment.

We offer a varied job in a competent team.

We have a rolling 6-week schedule with shifts during the day, evening, sleeping on-call, and every other weekend. Here you get both structure and variety – and above all, a job with heart.

The operation is run in municipal management with clear values and strong support from colleagues and management.

About the Position

All residents have their own individual implementation, communication, support, and method plans that we work from. The interventions cover all aspects of these individuals' lives. Everything from supporting personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, personal shopping, leisure activities, and vacation planning. In short, everything that occurs in a home and everything that occurs in a person's life. We always start from the individual and what they wish for the day, the week, or generally in life and adapt accordingly.

Every day we document what is important to know, as well as deviations from their implementation plan. Based on the needs and wishes of the residents, we collaborate with many different parties, such as relatives, legal representatives, daily activities, assistance coordinators, habilitation/occupational therapists, nurses/healthcare, etc.

The position is a permanent full-time employment.

A probationary period may be applied.

Start date according to agreement.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with a pedagogical education in child/youth, leisure, care/nursing education, or equivalent.

We follow the National Board of Health and Welfare's recommendations for approved education (SOSFS 2014:2).

You have a theoretical focus in special education and experience working with the LSS target group.

It is very important that you feel secure in your professional role, documentation, collaboration with many different actors and colleagues, as well as with challenging behaviors.

A B driver's license is an advantage.

• At least 1 year of documented experience supporting individuals with varying degrees of challenging behavior, and you feel secure working with these residents.
• You are accustomed to and secure in working with low-arousal responses and see the whole in the approach.
• Documented experience with cognitive aids.
• Documented experience in documentation and some administrative work.
• Documented experience in communication support, such as AAC, TAKK conversation mats, visual supports, social stories, or other commonly used communication forms.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to work with and follow structured and individual support plans. You are engaged and secure in your professional role and competence within LSS.

You take responsibility for the development of the residents, your own, and the workplace and are a good educator who finds it easy to collaborate and communicate with various actors, residents, and colleagues.

You can make your own correct decisions within the framework of your professional authority.
