We are constantly developing and improving and take responsibility by providing the right support to the right person at the right time. 

LSS - Adults

Within LSS, we work to provide support to adults with disabilities, where their needs, desires, and skills are the focus. You will work at one or more of our three residences and provide support in their home environment based on an established implementation plan. We have two group homes and one service apartment according to LSS.

Your tasks may include:

  • Personal care - for example, support with hygiene, dressing, and other daily routines.
  • Practical support in everyday life - such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, and other household chores.
  • Leisure activities and social support - planning and motivating for an active and meaningful leisure time.
  • Conversation support - being a safe support in conversations and social situations.
  • Collaboration and networking - cooperating with relatives, representatives, psychiatry, and healthcare personnel.
  • Documentation - working in the Life Care system. We are looking for someone who is attentive, flexible, and has a genuine interest in working with people.

We always work with a pedagogical approach and apply low-arousal responses.


Social Psychiatry

In social psychiatry, we support individuals with mental and physical disabilities in their daily lives, aiming to create security, independence, and a meaningful existence. Support is provided both in the individual's home and in the surrounding area based on an implementation plan.

Your tasks may include:

  • Conversation support and motivation - supporting the user in managing daily life and promoting mental well-being.
  • Support in structure and planning - helping with routines, time management, and everyday decisions.
  • Practical support at home - such as personal care, cooking, cleaning, and other household chores.
  • Social support and activities - encouraging community and meaningful leisure activities.
  • Contact with healthcare and networks - cooperating with relatives, representatives, psychiatry, and other actors.
  • Documentation - working in the Life Care system.

Tasks

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting others and contributing to a better everyday life for people with various needs. With us, you will work with individuals of different ages and varying abilities, always with the goal of creating a safe and meaningful existence. We are looking for someone who is responsible, reliable, and has the ability to adapt to different situations. Our operations target individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and/or mental disabilities. Working hours vary between day, evening, and weekend. Night and on-call work occur in some operations.

Other Information

Nykvarn Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and we consider it an advantage if you speak Finnish.

We require you to present a criminal record extract before employment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who wants a meaningful job where you make a difference for people in need of support and care.

To work with us, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills to manage our systems and maintain social documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while following the organization's routines and working methods.
  • Availability to work during the holiday period, June-August.

It is important that you are attentive and empathetic, especially since some users may have difficulty expressing their needs and wishes.

You have a positive and respectful attitude, with a genuine understanding of the user's needs and integrity.

To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be independent, reliable, and able to take significant personal responsibility. You are service-oriented, engaged, and view interaction, trust, and participation as fundamental parts of your work. Since the tasks may include both personal care and leisure activities, you need to have generally good physical health.

Creativity and engagement are also important qualities, as you often need to motivate and support users towards a meaningful everyday life.
