Summer Job as a Developer in AI and Energy Systems!
Tekniska verken offers a summer job focused on development and analysis related to the future energy system. As a summer intern, you will have the opportunity to explore how different scenarios and choices affect the energy system and how the NGSI-LD standard can be used to represent resources in the system. A central part of the assignment is to investigate how AI technologies, particularly Large Language Models (LLM) in combination with Model Context Protocol (MCP), can be used to create advanced decision support.
In this summer job, you will work on building a digital representation of a fictional energy system based on NGSI-LD and investigate how LLMs, via MCP, can use an NGSI-LD API to retrieve information and reason about the system. You will test and compare different LLM solutions, both local and cloud-based, and document results and draw conclusions about which solution provides the best decision support.
Are you the one we are looking for?
We are looking for someone who is studying or has recently studied in a relevant field and who is curious, technically interested, and enjoys exploring new solutions. You have a structured working method, thrive in working independently, and enjoy analyzing and documenting your results.
We see that you have:
- Ongoing or recently completed university studies in IT, engineering, computer science, or equivalent
- Interest in programming, AI, and software development
- Experience working with or experimenting with LLMs
- The ability to independently set up and work in a development environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with NGSI-LD, context brokers, or similar technologies
- Experience with MCP or other integration solutions for LLMs
- Interest in energy systems, data models, or decision support
- Experience with APIs and system integration
Start: Week 23, to allow for introduction and support before the holiday period.
