At the Application Delivery unit, we ensure that the region's large and small IT systems are up and running.

We work with journal, personnel, finance, and support systems. In this role, you will primarily focus on systems within the support systems and work in a team of technical resources.

Job Description

As a technical system administrator, you will be responsible for the functionality of the systems and work with system improvements, operations, and maintenance. You will also work with new installations, upgrades, and other types of improvement work. You will resolve cases as part of our third line and support the first and second lines with knowledge and routines to streamline the work. Close collaboration with your colleagues in the team is important, and you will also work with many different people and functions in our various operations within Region Östergötland. Furthermore, you will be involved in projects and/or investigations to continuously improve and optimize our IT landscape.

About You

To succeed with us, we believe that you have experience in the IT industry with a focus on IT operations. You feel confident in your technical skills but are also driven to develop and keep updated on new technologies. Experience with Windows Server, ISS, SQL, and Linux server is an advantage.

You are a person with a natural problem-solving ability and feel secure in your role as a technician. You are engaged in your work, contribute to a positive atmosphere in the workplace, and enjoy working both in a team and independently. As you work with different people and functions in the organization, you have a good ability to describe and present complex structures in a pedagogical way. You understand the value of sometimes lifting your gaze from the operational and seeing problems from a strategic perspective and conveying that to others. You are quality-conscious and solution-focused, which is evident in how you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively to achieve goals and results. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
