Within the department, the municipality's internal services and support functions are gathered. We contribute to the development of the municipality's operations and cross-municipal service solutions.

Your Responsibilities

As a systems technician focused on IT security with us, you will work at a tactical level in a modern hybrid environment with overall responsibility for ensuring that the municipality's platforms and technical equipment meet the requirements for the municipality's IT security. You will ensure that there is good IT security at all levels and follow appropriate frameworks and standards. We work practically with CIS Controls and follow recommendations from MSB, SKR, and Digg. Working with the municipality's IT security means ensuring a secure environment for the municipality as an employer as well as for the municipality's citizens.

You will act as the link between the cross-municipal level and the IT department and have a significant responsibility for identifying areas for improvement and implementing new security solutions and processes. You will also provide support in procurements and work with technical specifications.

Your Workplace

The IT department is part of Operational Support and Services within Linköping Municipality. Here, about 100 colleagues work to provide IT services to the municipality's operations and, in turn, to users, students, and residents of Linköping. We work process-oriented in accordance with ITIL and Service Management.

In the Systems & Communication department, we work with the operation and development of the municipality's consolidated server infrastructure, networks, and databases on both Windows and Linux platforms, as well as all the systems that make up the IT landscape in Linköping Municipality. We are 19 people in the department, most of whom work as network technicians or systems technicians. We work in modern premises in Ebbepark and, depending on the tasks, we work both on-site and remotely. Working hours are scheduled during the day from Monday to Friday.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with relevant post-secondary education, such as in IT security, cloud architecture, or as a systems analyst, or you have substantial work experience that the employer deems relevant. We see that you have experience in security work in a hybrid environment that includes both on-prem and public cloud services. It is strongly meritorious if you also have experience participating in technical procurements and specifying security when acquiring cloud services (SaaS/PaaS).

If you have previous experience in producing technical documentation for impact assessments and risk analyses in collaboration with data protection officers and/or lawyers, that is a plus. Experience in security configuration in Azure, security hardening in virtualized environments (VMware vSphere), and knowledge of security settings and governance in Google environments are seen as meritorious. Additionally, it is positive if you have previous experience working with CIS Controls or ISO 27001 in a hybrid context.

Since language is one of your most important work tools, good knowledge of both Swedish and English in speech and writing is required. You also need to have good technical competence in Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and the Microsoft Defender suite.

In this recruitment, we will use tests as part of our assessment. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for weeks 10 and 11.
