Process Leader for Asylum Process Area

At the Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. In total, we are about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!

We are now looking for a Process Leader for the Asylum Process Area.

What does a process leader do?

The assignment of the Asylum Process Area is to develop, manage, and follow up the processes of the Protection Process, Extension, Temporary Protection, Resettlement, and State Compensation. The unit employs process leaders and management leaders.

In your role, you will work on establishing and updating governing documents and handbook work, etc. You will also participate in quality assurance and quality follow-up work and formulate referral responses both externally and internally. Furthermore, you will work on preparing materials for deliberations for the department's various decision-making levels. It is also part of your role to disseminate information to external actors such as organizations and authorities. In addition, you will also respond to questions and correspondence from external actors and other authorities as well as our client.

Another important part of the role is to develop close cooperation with other subject matter experts, process leaders, legal experts, and operational activities. Primarily, you will work either within detention/return-related parts or reception-related parts, both of which are included in the overall Protection Process. However, it may also involve supporting and occasionally working in other subprocesses.

Who are you?

You are a good representative of the Migration Agency. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively and set and adhere to deadlines. Furthermore, you are meticulous and well aware of goals and quality, placing great importance on meeting these requirements. You have analytical skills and the ability to independently identify issues that need further investigation. The work requires that you are unpretentious and have good collaboration skills. With a high initiative, you see what needs to be done and approach your tasks in a solution-oriented manner.

In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a university degree with a legal, social science, or behavioral science focus or other education combined with relevant work experience for the position
  • good experience of the Migration Agency's work with detention, return, or reception
  • good communication skills and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English
  • good knowledge of the Office suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

It is meritorious if you have:

  • education in process development
  • previous process leader experience from government operations

Working hours: office hours or flexible working hours by agreement
Location: Malmö, Norrköping, or Sundbyberg.
