About the unit
The Security and Preparedness Unit (ESB) is a central function led by the agency's security manager. The unit consists of fifteen employees and serves as a governing and supportive function within security, information security, and preparedness. We have a clear focus on supporting management, leaders, and employees in these areas. As a security officer, you will be part of the Security Team, which consists of six people responsible for areas such as operational protection and security protection. The overall goal is to ensure that the Swedish Maritime Administration's assets receive the protection they need.

Job responsibilities
You will work to maintain and strengthen the agency's work in the security field. Based on your experience, competence, and development, responsibilities and tasks will be expanded.
Your role will include, among other things:
• Coordinating and providing support in work related to security protection agreements.
• Coordinating and providing support in work related to security assessments.
• Working with special security protection assessments.
• Developing guidelines, routines, conducting training, and providing advice.
• Collaborating with the Swedish Maritime Administration's operations and other support functions that are central to building and maintaining effective support processes.
• Collaborating with other authorities and suppliers.
Of course, you will collaborate internally within the entire ESB to solve your tasks and, as needed, be prepared to provide support across the entire unit.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has….
• relevant university or college education, preferably with a focus on crisis preparedness, risk management, public safety, security protection, social sciences, or political science (or equivalent education and experience).
• experience working with security
• excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
• a valid driver's license (B)
It is advantageous if you have….
• relevant training in security protection
• current experience working with security protection in the public sector
It is not a requirement but interesting for us if you have experience in procurement or have previously worked with analyses and the establishment of action plans.

The Swedish Maritime Administration may apply a six-month probationary period.
The position may involve military placement at the Swedish Maritime Administration.
The position may require Swedish citizenship. A security assessment with a background check may be conducted before a job offer is made.
