IT Technician in Standard Applications

RESPONSIBILITIES

The section provides and maintains existing functionality, security, and availability for the applications included in the agreed delivery as a service. Furthermore, the section is responsible for operational monitoring of the IT environment of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, as well as operational IT security to detect, prevent, and address security threats.

As an IT Technician within the standard applications group, you will be part of an operations team responsible for ensuring that the core and support systems of the operations function for the nearly 22,000 employees of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. You will work with the operation and management of several of the agency's applications. Collaboration with the operations, management, and external suppliers is common in daily tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the role of IT Technician in Standard Applications, we are looking for someone who works well with others. You have a good understanding of how to acquire knowledge and adapt your way of conveying your message based on the recipient.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Complete upper secondary education in the form of a final certificate or diploma, or other education combined with experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Experience in daily operation and management of applications and systems, including installations, system upgrades, etc.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of applications
• Experience in creating technical documentation
• Experience in IT security during application setup
• Good database competence
• Ability to express oneself well in spoken and written Swedish

It is meritorious if you have:

• A degree from a university/college in a relevant field
• Certifications in Microsoft Windows and/or Linux
• Experience working with the operation and maintenance of HR systems
• Experience working on a project basis
• Experience in automation
• Experience planning and documenting the implementation of application platforms
• Experience managing customer contacts regarding IT issues between operations, system users, management, suppliers, and application owners
• Experience working with IT within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows or Linux
• Knowledge of networks, security, and firewalls
