IT Support Technician at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to delivering and developing the IT department's support services for the 20,000 employees of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service and has an interest in IT and technology. You are driven by helping and educating others with digital tools and have a strong interest in understanding the needs and expectations of employees. The IT department works closely with probation services in the task of managing alerts about deviations among clients who are under electronic supervision.

As an IT support technician, you will work independently with troubleshooting and guide the employees of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. Together with your colleagues at the IT service center, you actively work to support our users in a qualitative and efficient manner.

In your service role, you will deliver first-line troubleshooting and user guidance, primarily via phone and ticketing systems. You are the first point of contact for employees regarding questions and troubleshooting for the IT services of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. In your role, you contribute to developing our working methods and processes. This also includes administration of permissions and orders.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Completed upper secondary education in the form of a diploma or equivalent, or other education combined with experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
  • Experience in service or other work experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
  • Experience in professional customer service, such as in phone support, reception, or retail
  • Ability to express oneself well in spoken and written Swedish
  • Good mobile and computer skills
  • Technical interest

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in technical service or support within IT
  • Experience in administrative work
  • Ability to express oneself well in spoken and written English
