Do you want to help develop the payroll management of the future – and have a great time doing it?

Imagine it’s Monday morning. You step into our beautiful office in Norrköping, greeted by the smell of coffee and a team of engaged colleagues already hard at work. You take off your jacket, log in – and feel that there is structure, professionalism, and a shared drive to develop together. New week, new opportunities!

We are now looking for a payroll specialist to join our team. Someone who not only does the job but wants to improve it and who is happy to contribute with humor, energy, and their own ideas. We are looking for someone who is driven, curious, brave, and social. We are in the midst of an ongoing digital transformation where AI, smart working methods, and the courage to think outside the box are becoming increasingly important in our daily lives. Therefore, we hope you are interested in systems. If you have also worked in support or enjoy a role where you support and guide others, you will thrive with us.

About the role

As part of our payroll team, you will be a central cog in ensuring accurate, secure, and efficient payroll management for the entire NTM group. You will work with everything from payroll calculations and reconciliations to providing qualified support to managers and employees. We hope you enjoy a role where you educate, guide, and explain. You are the one who, with confidence and pedagogy, makes the difficult easier to understand. At the same time, you will be involved in shaping the future by:

  • ✔️ Developing and improving processes
  • ✔️ Challenging old truths
  • ✔️ Driving digitalization and AI solutions
  • ✔️ Raising your hand and contributing ideas

We see change as an opportunity – not a hindrance. We need to be quick in our development to support the core of our business: local journalism, the heart of NTM.

💙 We offer you

  • A workplace where your voice matters and your ideas make a real difference.
  • A stable, knowledgeable, and professional payroll team that values order, structure, and collaboration.
  • Close cooperation with HR and finance – where many development initiatives arise.
  • The opportunity to influence systems, processes, and working methods.
  • An exciting digital transformation where AI becomes a natural part of future payroll management.
  • Beautiful office in Norrköping and the possibility of remote work.
  • Full-time position with a 6-month probationary period.
  • Start date according to agreement

We believe you are a person who…

  • is positive, driven, and actively seeks and shares knowledge.
  • sees problems as challenges and enjoys finding solutions.
  • is confident in yourself and attentive in contact with others.
  • naturally builds relationships and delivers world-class service.
  • is meticulous, structured, and comfortable with deadlines.
  • has integrity and a secure approach to sensitive information.
  • has a good sense of humor and contributes to a positive atmosphere.

Your experience

  • Several years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in larger or more complex organizations.
  • Experience with larger payroll systems and digital HR/time systems.
  • Good familiarity with digital working methods.
  • Knowledge in vacation, sick leave, pensions, certificates, and related areas.
  • Experience in support, service, or training is an advantage and highly appreciated.

Extra merits

  • Experience with Agda PS and/or Flex HRM, Medvind, Findity, or CatalystOne.
  • Familiarity with collective agreements for Transport, Distributor Agreement, Unionen, SJF, or GS.
  • Interest or experience in automation, digitalization, and AI in the HR and payroll field.

We are a values-driven group that strives for equality and diversity and therefore values applicants with different backgrounds and experiences.

To ensure a safe and secure workplace, we conduct background checks on selected candidates as part of our recruitment process.

Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

NTM is one of Sweden's largest groups for local media, a foundation-owned group with its heart in local journalism.

We have employees in the local market from Småland to Norrbotten. Our media advisors and the advertising agency Fluid help companies with campaigns, content, and strategy. Many of our own newspapers are printed by Pressgrannar and Tryck i Norr, and distributed by our distribution company Svensk Hemleverans, which also offers early morning deliveries for both letters and packages, e.g., from our own e-commerce.

We have high ambitions in our daily work and as an employer. We actively work on our work environment, competence, and leadership to create a healthy organization.

We value diversity and develop by leveraging our employees' diverse experiences and perspectives, but we come together under a common value base: We are attentive, goal-oriented, and curious, and therefore quick to change. We have a positive spirit and we are forgiving, tolerant, and inclusive.
