Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions
We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for someone who wants to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
We would like to welcome you to become a part of our dedicated HR team at the Södermalm District Administration!
In our department, HR is responsible for providing the best conditions for the administration's managers to develop the organization, processes, and strategies, as well as ensuring compliance with HR-related laws, agreements, and guidelines.
The department is responsible for HR processes within recruitment, competence supply, salary formation, rehabilitation, work environment, and organizational changes, and supports the administration's managers operationally and strategically in that work. The HR department also has a responsibility to locally support managers in employment issues, labor law, union collaboration, and personnel matters.
In the HR department, there are six HR consultants, two HR administrators, and one HR manager. You will be part of a team of experienced colleagues where we all help each other to achieve our goals. Many of us also have in-depth HR competence in specific areas of operation: social services, elderly care, and preschool. Within these areas, we are responsible for developing and organizing various training and development initiatives. We collaborate across operational areas and always strive to see the whole and the administration's mission.
The position is a temporary replacement for one of our colleagues who will be on parental leave. The start date is 2026-05-18 until 2027-08-15.
Your role
As an HR consultant, you will be offered a varied and developing assignment where you work broadly and where your contribution is requested and appreciated. You will work closely with HR issues and support managers in their employer responsibilities.
Your tasks include, among other things:
- contributing your HR expertise to others within the organization.
- being responsible for HR issues within the elderly care department, together with a colleague.
- being responsible for the production of personnel statistics.
- depending on experience and interest, you will have the opportunity to focus on one or more specialist areas and processes.
Your competence and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- a university degree in HR or another education combined with experience that we assess as equivalent,
- several years of relevant experience in several/all HR processes,
- the ability to express yourself clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing,
- digital proficiency and good experience in using systems.
It is meritorious if you have:
- experience of HR work in the public sector, preferably within the City of Stockholm.
- solid experience in labor law issues and rehabilitation.
You are self-assured, solution-oriented, and good at collaborating in various constellations. Furthermore, you are service-oriented and have an easy time building relationships, both with the managers you support and with your colleagues in the HR department. Other important qualities are quality-oriented, structured, and the ability to see the opportunities with digital tools/systems.
We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities and competencies.
We offer
The administration applies flexible working hours and winter and summer working hours. We work in an open office landscape with the possibility of remote work when the job allows. The administration conducts active health work and offers a wellness allowance of 3000 SEK/year. As an employee with us, it is possible to purchase annual passes to the City of Stockholm's swimming halls at a discounted price.
Other
We see diversity as enriching and welcome all applicants regardless of gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, ethnic background, religion, disability, and age.
In this recruitment, we will use personality tests. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competencies and thus counteracting discrimination.
Welcome to Södermalm District Administration!
Södermalm is a cultural and vibrant district in the inner city with engaged residents and a big heart. With us, you can truly make a difference. Together with our Södermalm residents, we are developing an even better district to live, work, and reside in.
As an employee with us, you have a secure employment with fair conditions, where we believe that diversity and gender balance contribute to strengthening our operations. We like to think innovatively – we hope that you who are applying want to develop Södermalm together with us!
