Administrator at the Department of Ethnology, History of Religions and Gender Studies
The Department of Ethnology, History of Religions and Gender Studies (ERG) is an institution that conducts research and education at the undergraduate, advanced, and doctoral levels in ethnology, history of religions, and gender studies.
The department consists of approximately 50 employees, of which 8 are administrative staff.

Job Responsibilities
As an administrator, you will have a broad and varied role with a central position in the department's undergraduate education and other administration. You will provide administrative support in the following tasks:
- Administration of the department's undergraduate programs, including admissions and registration.
- Booking of teaching rooms.
- Administration of the learning platform Athena.
- Distribution of information to student groups, for example in connection with orientation and introductions.
- Information to prospective and current students.
- Archiving of study administrative materials.
- Internship management, course evaluations, and exam distribution.
- Responsibility for orders and purchases as well as hotel and travel bookings for external contractors.
- Back-up for license manager, SUA manager, and local planning.
- Mail handling and other office administration.
Qualifications
For the position, you are required to have:
- University degree.
- Experience of similar administrative tasks within the university or higher education sector.
- Good ability to convey information and express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
- Good ability to work independently with planning and structuring your tasks.
- Very good collaboration skills and good social competence.
- Good knowledge of the MS Office suite.
You will be part of several working groups at the department, primarily the study administration group, which requires that you enjoy and have a good ability to work in teams.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience or good knowledge of study administrative systems such as LADOK, NyA, TimeEdit, Inspera, W3D3, Raindance (e-commerce system), and Neo (travel booking system).
- Experience in procurement and working with framework agreements.
As a person, you are flexible and solution-oriented and have an interest in developing routines and processes. Applicants with experience in similar tasks within the higher education sector will be prioritized. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. The assessment criteria will consist of a comprehensive evaluation of all qualifications.
About the Employment
The employment is permanent full-time with a six-month probationary period. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date according to agreement.
